I’ve been quite busy recently and I haven’t been able to post some cakes I made few weeks ago. This is a Thomas The Train cake for a little boy. I like the idea of the engine going out through the tunnel in the top “half tier”.
Hope Tapan had a lovely birthday!
I enjoyed a lot making this cake full of fun!
This is a two tier castle cake I made for little Ira few weeks ago. It’s pink and girly with two playful fondant fairies around. Aren’t they cute?
Have a nice week.
Last weekend was Maya’s 6th birthday. She had a Mad Hatter party theme (Alice in Wonderland). This is the cake I made to make her day even more special. I heard it was nice and yummy! Yay!
It was a 10 inch buttercream coated cake with little handmade fondant decorations all around.
Hope you like it and you get some inspiration.
Have a nice week!
This is a sprinkle cake I made for Zara’s birthday party. It’s the cute little brother from my previous three tier sprinkle cake! lol.
Hope you like it!
Ben and Little Kingdom is a children’s television series very popular amongst kids. Ben, one of the main characters, is a young and friendly elf. The most remarkable features in this character are his big head, angular nose, pointed ears and his blue hat with an oak leaf sticking out.
Joshua and Edward, two adorable little siblings, were celebrating their birthday together. The party’s theme was Ben and Little Kingdom, and I was so glad to contribute with this colourful fondant cake to make their day even happier!
Ben is sitting on a ladybird called Gaston. We also can see the Little Castle. In front of him, there’s a delicious picnic. Everything was made out of sugarpaste. I just love modelling!
Also some matching mini cupcakes…
Hope you liked it!
Have a nice day.
This is a three tier sprinkle cake I made for Liberty’s birthday. I thoroughly enjoyed making it!
Wasn’t sure about which wallpaper choose to take the pictures and I used both :- ) Which one do you like the most?
I used three round 8″-6″-4″ cakes (between 4″-5″ tall), and despite there were loads of sprinkles, I just used around 270 grams to cover the three of them! I had bought 2 kilos of nonpareils because I wasn’t sure about the amount I would be using, lol. I still have enough to make more similar cakes and also topping some cupcakes! Anyway, it’s always better to work with more sprinkles than you need and then remove and keep the excess.
Under the sprinkles, I just used buttercream. A firm and cold crumb coat to get sharp edges and then a final thin coat to stick the sprinkles to the cake.
Hope these tips help!
Have a nice, sweet and colourful week!
Here’s a handmade Rapunzel cake I made last week for Martina’s 4th birthday party. Girly, pinky & pretty :- )
Rapunzel’s long and blond braid was going around the whole cake. It was made out of yellow fondant, therefore it was completely edible, like everything else in that cake!
Have a lovely week!
The lovely Zara, who turned 7 this week, was so excited to share with her classmates these cute style Star Wars cupcakes.
She chose three characters from the film -Yoda, Darth Vader & Storm Troopers-, since she was looking forward to seeing their faces in a cupcake. And here they are!
May the force be with you!
Last week I was so lucky to contribute with these mini cupcakes in a kids’ party set up by the professional Mystical Fairies team. They organize amazing children’s parties and performances with a lot of interesting themes for kids. This time, it was a Ben & the Little Kingdom-themed party and they wanted to form a little garden with mini cupcakes.
I appreciate that Mystical Fairies sent me these beautiful pictures to be able to share them with all of you.
Have a nice weekend,
This is the fondant cake I made last week for Juju’s 5th birthday party. I heard she loved it, which makes me feel so glad! :- D
I think the combination of colours is quite pretty for this theme. Purple, blue and gold.
To decorate this 10 inch cake, I mainly used fondant (to cover the cake and the columns, to model the clouds…), gum paste (to make the plaque, letters and scrolls), and royal icing (to pipe the plaque’s outline and the bottom dots).
Thanks for reading and see you in the next post! I will post some Star Wars Cupcakes soon :- )
