I had so much fun piping the chocolate buttercream spikes on these adorable hedgehog cupcakes! I used the grass nozzle #233 from Wilton.
TADA! Ready to go!
Too cute to eat them!
Have a nice day.
My friend Isabel is a passionate dog walker. Like me, she was a cake decorator, but she decided to change cakes, flour and sugar for the love, joy and loyalty that dogs bring. Few weeks ago she asked me to make some “leaving” cupcakes to say goodbye to some of the owners. Personally I am a big animal lover and I was so excited to make them. But I was even more excited to see these pictures that the dogs’ owners sent her when they received their gift! Omg, how adorable are they?? So cuuuuuute! Looooove!
What’s your favourite one? Are you in love with any particular dog breed? I love all these cuties! But look at the Pomerian’s eyes… Could they be more bright and playful? Aww!!
One of the dogs tried to eat itself… Really! lol. It’s impossible to cope with such a dose of cuteness!!
Have a lovely and doggie weekend!
The lovely Zara, who turned 7 this week, was so excited to share with her classmates these cute style Star Wars cupcakes.
She chose three characters from the film -Yoda, Darth Vader & Storm Troopers-, since she was looking forward to seeing their faces in a cupcake. And here they are!
May the force be with you!
Last week I was so lucky to contribute with these mini cupcakes in a kids’ party set up by the professional Mystical Fairies team. They organize amazing children’s parties and performances with a lot of interesting themes for kids. This time, it was a Ben & the Little Kingdom-themed party and they wanted to form a little garden with mini cupcakes.
I appreciate that Mystical Fairies sent me these beautiful pictures to be able to share them with all of you.
Have a nice weekend,
Few days ago I made this colourful rainbow unicorn cake for little Sofia. Despite she’s very young she was determined to have a unicorn birthday cake full of colours everywhere.
I made a buttercream petal effect on the sides of the cake. This technique is specially time-consuming when using several colours although really effective!
Both the unicorn and the rainbow, as well as the little clouds, were hand modelled out of fondant.
I made other treats to sweeten Sofia’s birthday party, like some iced cookies and these delicious mini rainbow cupcakes.
Have a nice and colourful week
Christmas is getting close! I should have done this calendar before in order to start counting from the 1st of December, but better late than never! The good thing is that today I’ll be able to eat 14 mini cupcakes in a row lol.
Jocking aside, these little treats don’t last so many days, so it’s better to eat them just after making them, sharing them with your family and friends.
Actually my friend Arnau gave me this lovely idea last year and I’ve finally made it real!! I dedicate it to him!
Have a nice Christmasy week!
This is the train made out of cupcakes I made last week for Hugo’s 3rd birthday. He’s still very young, but he decided by himself he wanted a train to share with his friends at his party. And this was the result: a train carrying loads of smarties!
The engine train was made of sugarpaste and the carriages out of cupcakes. The wheels were mini oreo, by the way!
I was given some fabulous feedback about it! It was funny to hear that the kids ate everything, even the grass and the track!!
And that was not all, there was still a small cake to share!
Have a nice week!
One of the things I like the most when working with fondant is frilling!! I love frilling & I love frills
So when I was asked to make these colourful ballerina tutu cupcakes for a 6 year-old girl I felt very excited! hehe.
Because of the wings, they actually look like pretty fairy dresses, don’t they?
Due to the upper shape of the tutus (I was just trying to give a 3D effect), it could be a great idea to fill them with some smarties to give an extra surprise!
This is one of the boxes with the cupcakes inside. I enjoyed a lot making them!
I hope you liked them!
