My friend Isabel is a passionate dog walker. Like me, she was a cake decorator, but she decided to change cakes, flour and sugar for the love, joy and loyalty that dogs bring. Few weeks ago she asked me to make some “leaving” cupcakes to say goodbye to some of the owners. Personally I am a big animal lover and I was so excited to make them. But I was even more excited to see these pictures that the dogs’ owners sent her when they received their gift! Omg, how adorable are they?? So cuuuuuute! Looooove!

What’s your favourite one? Are you in love with any particular dog breed? I love all these cuties! But look at the Pomerian’s eyes… Could they be more bright and playful? Aww!!
One of the dogs tried to eat itself… Really! lol. It’s impossible to cope with such a dose of cuteness!!

The tittle of this post may sound a little weird. But this is what happened: I received a request about a cake showing three themes at the same time. The birthday boy loved football, swimming and he’d just got a new Iphone as a present. So it had to contain the three things! Difficult combination, I know, but I had so much fun designing it!
Now that I look at the cake again, I would have changed small things, like making more detailed footballs and a more straight number one (the one on the right looks a bit wobbly, lol).

A couple of weeks ago I had a very adorable request: a wooden swimming pool cake plenty of Minions celebrating Eva’s 5th birthday! I really enjoyed modelling the characters… So much fun!

This is a bowling themed cake I made some time ago. I’m being a bit lazy to post pictures of my recent work… The birthday kid loved it, as well as her mum. I’ll be making another cake for his brother soon. And the theme will be… surprise! You’ll have to wait : ) I’m looking forward to make it.
The cake design was matching the party invitations and it looked really cute all together.

I’ve been quite busy recently and I haven’t been able to post some cakes I made few weeks ago. This is a Thomas The Train cake for a little boy. I like the idea of the engine going out through the tunnel in the top “half tier”.

Last weekend was Maya’s 6th birthday. She had a Mad Hatter party theme (Alice in Wonderland). This is the cake I made to make her day even more special. I heard it was nice and yummy! Yay!
It was a 10 inch buttercream coated cake with little handmade fondant decorations all around.

Ben and Little Kingdom is a children’s television series very popular amongst kids. Ben, one of the main characters, is a young and friendly elf. The most remarkable features in this character are his big head, angular nose, pointed ears and his blue hat with an oak leaf sticking out.
Joshua and Edward, two adorable little siblings, were celebrating their birthday together. The party’s theme was Ben and Little Kingdom, and I was so glad to contribute with this colourful fondant cake to make their day even happier!
Ben is sitting on a ladybird called Gaston. We also can see the Little Castle. In front of him, there’s a delicious picnic. Everything was made out of sugarpaste. I just love modelling!

This is a three tier sprinkle cake I made for Liberty’s birthday. I thoroughly enjoyed making it!
Wasn’t sure about which wallpaper choose to take the pictures and I used both :- ) Which one do you like the most?
I used three round 8″-6″-4″ cakes (between 4″-5″ tall), and despite there were loads of sprinkles, I just used around 270 grams to cover the three of them! I had bought 2 kilos of nonpareils because I wasn’t sure about the amount I would be using, lol. I still have enough to make more similar cakes and also topping some cupcakes! Anyway, it’s always better to work with more sprinkles than you need and then remove and keep the excess.
Under the sprinkles, I just used buttercream. A firm and cold crumb coat to get sharp edges and then a final thin coat to stick the sprinkles to the cake.
